About Photizo Data

A dashboard is not a strategy. Data-driven working is.

Photizo Data started the way most good consultancies do: in the work itself, not in a business plan. For eight years, our founder built the data foundations of organisations most Dutch professionals would recognise — the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Universiteit Leiden, Royal Smit & Zoon, Univé, KWS Group. Data warehouses. Power BI environments. Governance frameworks nobody had gotten around to writing down.

The same pattern kept showing up. The dashboard was excellent. The decision still got made on gut feeling. Leadership teams had more data than ever and less confidence in it than they let on.

That gap — between what the reporting shows and what the boardroom actually trusts — is what Photizo Data exists to close. Not by building another dashboard. By building the line from a boardroom question to an answer your leadership team is willing to act on.

Why “Photizo”

The name comes from the Greek photizo — to illuminate. It's not a metaphor we picked for the logo. It's the first phase of how we work.

How we work: Illuminate, Design, Embed

Illuminate

We start by mapping where decisions actually get stuck — not where the data is messiest, but where the gap between question and answer costs you the most. Most organisations are surprised by what this surfaces.

Design

We build the strategy, governance, and analytics as one connected system, not three separate workstreams that never talk to each other. A data strategy without governance is a wish list. Governance without adoption is a policy document nobody reads.

Embed

We stay until the new way of working survives without us — decision rituals, ownership, data literacy, all embedded in how your teams already operate. Our engagements have an end date. Client dependency on us is not the goal.

Who we work with

Commercial and public sector organisations who are done with dashboard theatre — mid-market companies, government ministries, universities, insurers, and cooperatives who need leadership to trust the data enough to act on it, not just look at it.

How we're different

We're not a Big Four team that hands you a strategy deck and moves on to the next engagement. We're not a Power BI implementation partner who stops once the report renders. We're senior, hands-on, from the first diagnostic conversation to the moment the new way of working no longer needs us in the room.
